Unless you live in San Diego, the weather is always in flux and can be an important variable to consider in your fitness regimen. Of course, working out in adverse conditions has different meanings for different people.

The reality is that injuries are part of fitness. Sooner or later you’ll encounter something that forces you to alter your routine or slowdown.

Check Your Ego at the Door. Are You a Perfectionist or a Pursuer of Excellence?

“Perfection is not obtainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.”

This little quote took me down a road where I began to really contemplate the differences between pursuing perfection versus excellence. Let me start off by saying that if you choose perfection, more power to you, but I must also warn you that I am biased towards excellence and maybe I will be able to shift your mindset just a little after a few comparisons.  


You want to lose weight and get in better shape but life seems to always get in the way - you’re too busy at work, the kids are taking up all your free time, you just don’t feel like it… Well, you’re not going to change unless you make changes in your life and make fitness a priority. We’re not saying you need to do a 180 and start working out 3 hours a day. If you currently don’t regularly workout, start slow and work your way up, but please start doing something.
